Naomi has spearheaded community and real estate outreach strategies for No Longer Empty, since its inception. With its scalability and replicability, Naomi is studying the creative interim use model’s impact for re-activating corridors, creative placemaking, and community engagement. Naomi has worked with the New School Collaboratory- a two year program funded by Rockefeller Foundation that emphasizes collaborative design-led research and interventions. As a Swedish- American, Naomi is a graduate of Columbia University’s Masters Program in Urban Planning with a focus on urban green sustainability. She was awarded the William Kinne Fellowship Award. Naomi previously worked for SK Development in New York City and Info. Design, an information architecture firm in Washington DC. She served on the Executive Board of Columbia University’s Alumni Association, the Coro New York Neighborhood Leadership alumni board and is active now in the Forum for Urban Design, American Planning Association and serves as a representative for Public Advocate to the Board of Trustees for the Museum of the City of New York.
