Hailing from New Jersey, Katie Sweatman holds a B.A. in Cinema and Media Studies and American Studies from Wellesley College, and is currently pursuing an M.A. in Media Studies at The New School. As an artist with a background in independent film, she is very passionate about economic justice and using the arts for social change, and is excited to pursue this work with the Healthy Materials Lab.
In her spare time, Katie enjoys writing, crafting, and dancing.
