Justin Levinson

Profile

Justin Levinson is the Hacker in Chief at Makeshift Magazine, bringing stories and solutions from the economic fringe to life. He believes in making, creativity, and the power of collaboration, and has spent time organizing groups of people to solve big, ugly social problems like legalizing basement apartments and providing infrastructure for India’s off-grid farmers. And because work and play in these spheres tend to blend together, he and a few other devotees founded a public makerspace in New York, Hack Manhattan, where he now serves as president to a colorful and brilliant crew of creators.
