Fabiola Berdiel is Director for International Field Programs and faculty at The Milano School of International Affairs, Management and Urban Policy. She is an urban researcher and community development practitioner. Her research interests include feminist and decolonial perspectives on urbanism and public space and design thinking as a tool for socioeconomic development. Fabiola has a B.A. in Sociology and Political Science from Sarah Lawrence, a Masters in International Affairs from The New School, and is Ph.D. candidate at the Urban and Public Policy doctorate at The New School. Fabiola has worked and conducted field research in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Cuba, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Namibia, Ethiopia, Uganda, Senegal, Israel, Nepal, India, Kosovo, Serbia, Bosnia, Turkey, Ireland, and Spain. She is co-founder of DEED: Development through Empowerment, Entrepreneurship, and Design at The New School.
