Carlos J. Gómez de Llarena is a media architect working with physical and digital experiences which shape social interaction and our perception of space.
He does interaction design with devices, installations, video, sound, wireless networks, the web and programming. His work has been shown at Ars Electronica, Eyebeam, Museum of Contemporary Art of Caracas, ZKM and ResFest, among others. His background is in architecture, video and interactive media. In 2003 he received an Ars Electronica Golden Nica award for one of his wireless projects, Node Runner.
He is also an award-winning interaction designer with more than 15 years of experience with clients in telecommunications, advertising, design, fashion, retail, culture and government.
He lives in New York, where he runs Med44, an interacttve design studio working in art, UX and digital strategy for web, mobile, events or installations among other capabilities.
