It is part of the States of Incarceration’s first exhibition in New York: “Rikers Island, NY 11370: In Plain Sight” that poses the question “How do you see Rikers Island?”

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF RIKERS ISLAND BRIDGE

“A Day in the Life of the Rikers Island Bridge” displays the daily trips of corrections officers, civilian employees, people going to court, visitors, and new and released jail inmates. The visualization is accompanied by interviews with individuals from the Fortune Society who were formerly incarcerated at Rikers Island.
